Padre Island allows beach driving and parking for cars once you get a permit sold at gas stations for $12.
Bonfires with wood available at HEB and IGA groceries are allowed once they are covered after digging a hole in the sand for your wood to burn.
Some beaches allow campers overnight. RV Rentals CC can supply a rental RV to camp a few days on secluded spots.

On Padre Island there is the Wyndham Hotel Beachside, Holiday Inn, and Hawthorn. Resort stays at the beachfront are Island House Resort, and a few others all off of Windward Drive near Whitecap Beach.
Off of Park 22 on Padre Island by Encantada is Nueces County Bali Park with RV rental Lots and hook up. A huge camping area that allows pets and is steps away from the beach
A short drive down Commodore Blvd is Mustang Island Beach State Park and RV Rental lots are located there also private hotels
Want to stay by the Fishing Marina in Flour Bluff there’s Bluffs Landing Marina and Lodge. A cozy lodge with views of Laguna Madre. Lots of fishing boat charters at the Marina

You must have a Texas Fishing License available at Academy Sports on SPID. .$15 for a one day online at TWPD.com
